Why we built it

More buying questions now end before a results page appears. Someone asks an assistant which roofer to call, which accountant works with freelancers, which supplier ships to their state. They get one tidy answer, stitched from passages the assistant could find and trace to a source.

That raises the bar. Ranking is not enough. Your pages need to be reachable, clear about who wrote them, built so single passages make sense alone, and specific enough to quote. Most business sites were not made that way. Most audit tools never look.

RankClear looks, then tells you what to fix.

What you get

A self-serve web app. Enter your address and it reads your public pages, runs roughly seventy rule-based checks across seven weighted categories, and hands back a scored report, a ranked to-do list and a PDF. Agencies can put their own brand on the report.

What it is not

Not a rank tracker. Not a content writer. Not a backdoor into any AI system. We have no ties to OpenAI, Perplexity, Google, Anthropic or Microsoft, and we cannot see inside their products. We measure what anyone can observe on your website, which is the part you control.

It is also young, and small. No big team, no venture money, no awards, no partner logos. We would rather tell you that than decorate the page with things that are not true.

Under the hood

Next.js, PostgreSQL, a separate worker that pulls audits from a queue, and Stripe for payments. The scoring engine is ordinary, tested code. No AI model stands between your site and your score. An optional language model can polish the wording of summaries, but it never reads raw page content and never moves a score.

We publish the full scoring method. A score you cannot question is not worth trusting.
